Welcome to Cesar Chavez Campus Library!

 
Hello everyone, welcome to our library page.  My name is Raquel Perez and I am your school librarian.  I earned my Master's Degree in Library Science from Sam Houston State University.  I was a classroom teacher for 20 years at Cesar Chavez, and I am currently the librarian.  Thank you for allowing me to serve our community.  The families and staff work together to help create the best environment for our students. Our student's well-being, fostering a love for learning and reading are what is most important. I am proud to be a part of your child's education through the library.

LIBRARY HOURS & LITERACY NIGHTS :

Checkout/in is from 8:00-8:30 am (Monday-Friday)

Daily Classes:  Schedules shared with the teachers

Families Reading Together @Chavez(Literacy Nights):   Last Wednesday of each month 4:00-5:00 PM

TAKE OUR READING CHALLENGE:

Mini Challenge:  We invite you to meet your Accelerated Reader (AR) goal each marking period. 

We challenge you to be one of our "Global Reading Scholars" through the Accelerated Reader Program.
